You know it, a situation that immediately gives you a feeling you’d rather not have. An emotion you’d rather not feel. You’d rather put it away and not mention it to anybody, hope that nobody notices, or that makes you say or do something that you will regret later.
What about if you could look at these situations in another way, what if the emotion that you experience is trying to tell you something? For example, knowing that being anxious gives you the intuition of danger, anger tells you that a physical or emotional line has been crossed, frustration may indicate that your actions are not effective, and being jealous has to do with your unfulfilled need for desire.
Awareness of your exact emotion in a certain situation and knowing what that emotion is trying to tell you gives you a message about what is happening with you at that moment. With this knowledge you can make different choices, and get to work with that insight.
